Each year many of the teachers here at Salem put something into the
Silent Auction for the carnival. This year I had a good idea given to
me from a parent in Ms. Humphries' class. I will let one kid choose
what we do for recess each Friday during May. Anja won the auction and
since this is the first Friday we decided to do a hike. Behind the park
that is adjacent to Salem is a short hiking trail that goes around a
pond. We had a great time hiking together and we saw lots of cool
things. Here are some pictures.
